Thank you to all of our sponsors and supporters.  God continues to bless the work in Uganda!

A quick note: If you are interested in going with us to Uganda in 2026 please contact us!  There are 2 opportunites, one is the first 2 weeks of January and the second is the first 2 weeks of July.  Come and see what God is doing and join in!

The children in Kabale are on a school break between their second and third school semesters.  During this break our staff has the opportunity to continue meeting with them in small groups to do discipleship.

Amos writes:

As always, junction days are the best days of the week as we get to see our students. We share breakfast, the word of God and then the games. We have been practicing how we ought to play with one another as Christians and am happy to report that they are starting to get it. In addition, this time break is so special that we get to pour into children what God has for them. Throughout this break, we are discussing a series on SEX in the Biblical lens. We shall continue with these through the first 2 weeks of September. The primary kids have been learning about Character Development.

Recently Amos shared that during the parent meetings in August the staff used the meetings to help prepare the parents for their students being home from school. Here’s what Amos reported about those meetings:

We had a parents’ meeting this month about intentional parenting that even addresses the uncomfortable conversations like sex and sexuality that is age appropriate. Our intention was to remind our parents to see school breaks as an opportunity to bond with their children and have purposeful conversations about life. As done this break, we will be introducing a topic for the parents which we will be sharing with the Children over the break so that we can have joint efforts in nurturing our children, for us to raise children whose lives glorify God.

Meanwhile as the boys are home for holidays here’s an update:

The boys at the junction are currently home for the holidays, and we have a full house. The boys have a schedule that has been pinned in their rooms to help them know exactly what it is they each need to be doing at different times.

They have a devotion every morning as they have breakfast and they are currently doing one on how to develop character, and it’s basically to teach them how if they rely on God, they could learn that every situation they go through could be an opportunity for growth. They are reading from the book of Romans 5:3-5

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

They have also been doing lots of puzzles, and outdoor games that the team brought over in July.  Thanks to everyone who contributed to buying these games and puzzles!

One thing that we are excited about is the Ladies Fellowship Cell groups! We were able to visit a cell group when we were there in July.  As the Ladies fellowship has continued to grow and reach more women the numbers have grown until we have more than 2 tents full of women! In order to reach more and study the word in more depth the leadership has created cell groups that meet in the various neighborhoods where these women live. In these smaller groups they can ask questions and  strengthen their relationships with one another.

Another really cool thing is that we now have 81 students enrolled at Kigezi High School, the foremost high school in Kabale. We currently have a number of students who graduated from Kigezi H.S. and have gone on to the University! Two are studying Law and some are studying business and accounting. Imagine that through your sponsorship you are giving opportunity to these children who otherwise would be on the streets of Kabale.  Here’s a picture of the sponsored children at Kigezi that we took this summer.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Pastor: Continue to pray as we seek a pastor. We have met with 2 men so far since the beginning of the year and did not feel God moving in that direction. We have a new possible candidate, and Amos will possibly be meeting him in October
  2. The Land case: Still waiting for a new court date
  3. Children to be discipled while out of school. Wisdom and discernment and love for the staff.
  4. For us to deny self, take up our cross daily, and follow HIM!
  5. For God to meet our every need…
  6. For Two Roads to bring God glory in everything we do!
  7. For the Cell Groups to grow and stay true to the Word; that many will be saved and discipled.

Thank you for your steadfast support and prayers.
