To All,

We had a team that spent time in Kabale in January. What a blessing it was for us to spend time with all our sponsored children. We want to share some of the amazing things that God is doing! Then we will share a little bit about the back-to-school process.  The children will be reporting to school by February 10th.

Team visits the home of a newly sponsored girl; Maria

Mission trip highlights:

  • Getting to spend time with Jess & Rachael (see picture with Asaph below)
  • Having 3 of our parents follow Christ and be baptized (see picture of Michael’s mom) Such a blessing to see How God is moving in individual lives through the ladies fellowship.
  • Spending lots of time with our children (several pictures below). We had Bible lessons with crafts to illustrate the points made; lots of fun games and fellowship; meaningful worship times with student-led choir; lots of posho, beans, and rice! And a trip to the lake with 10 of our children.
  • Meeting Caleb and praying that he will become the pastor of a church by years end. (answer to many prayers). Caleb shared on the second Sunday. Please pray as we continue to seek God’s will concerning Caleb.

Our Primary 7 students who took the national exam got their results back this week. All our students passed with the best grades we have seen. We have 6 students that scored a first grade (top marks) and 7 more who scored a second grade. These are all very good grades, and all the students have been accepted to start at Kigezi High School in Senior 1 (S1). The children are Caroline, Trevor, Denise, Steven, Blair, Maria Blessing, Derrick, Babra, Kulusumu, Daphine, Junior, Phiona, Ritah, and Victor.

These 13 first time S1 Students join 68 sponsored students who will be contiuning at Kigezi High School this year. We have an additional 10 students who are in S4 and who took the National exam to determine if they will go on to S5 or possibly go to Vocational training. So, we could have as many as 91 sponsored students at Kigezi High School this year.

We are moving all our Ebenezer Primary School students to Child Africa Primary because it is our best performing Primary school. We will now have 30 Students at Child Africa. With our university and vocational students (11 Pending graduates) we have 178 sponsored students.

Our children are continuing to improve scholastically year after year.

Thank you for continuing to support what God has been doing in and through 2 Roads in Kabale. We hope all our sponsors received a letter from us recently.  We tried to get pictures and letters from each of our children.  If you didn’t receive a letter from your sponsored child just know that we are still working to get a few more letters. Next month we will be announcing a new way for people to help by sponsoring our staff!  More information will be coming soon.

Pray for our children and staff as they return to school.

God bless you,

Greg & Donna
