Susan is eleven years old, the second born of three children. She is in primary five and she hopes to be a nurse if given the opportunity to education. Blue is her favorite color and she loves to sing.
Susan’s parents separated when she was only eight and her plus her siblings have all been living with their mother. Susans older brother dropped out of school because they couldn’t raise school tuition for him and he currently potters at construction sites. Her mother sells jackfruit around town and she roughly makes less than five dollars after a day’s work. With such small income, Susan will most likely also have to drop out of school and join her mother in the fruit business.
Choosing to sponsor Susan will be keeping this beautiful young girl in school and giving her an opportunity to have choice, to live and not just survive.
