Newsletter July 2, 2021

To all our faithful supporters!

For this month’s Newsletter we are sharing with you directly from Amos, our director in Uganda:

Greetings,

Pleased to report to you what took place in June.

COVID 19 hit so hard Uganda that the government was compelled to lockdown the country! The high numbers of patients overwhelmed our Health care system and we have experienced more deaths from the virus more than ever before.

Rosette and Conirod have been battling it but we thank God that they have fully recovered it. We also praise God that mama Elizabeth who had gotten is recovering as well.

With all these cases, our usual schedule has been greatly affected because fellowship and gathering is so central to our work. However, we are aware that God’s plan for Kabale is not disrupted in any way. We believe he is sovereign and still on the throne. The kids were also eager to meet with the US team but all this has been postponed according to God’s timing.

We have been mostly working on phone to continue reaching our parents and kids. This is not to say that it is comparable to one to one meeting but we trust God use this channel and speak into the lives of these children.

This July, we will continue reaching our families with a food package and we have planned for 100 families to feed. May the Love of God be seen in this exercise.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Pray for us that God would guide us on how to effectively serve him at a time such as this
  • Pray for Greg, Donna, Jess and Beth as they step into the deep waters to come to Uganda at a time like this.
  • Pray for overall protection over our kids, parents, and staff here in Kabale.

Yours in Christ,

Amos.

Just a follow-up:  We are monitoring the situation in Uganda day-by-day, but as it looks now, we will be heading to Uganda July 7.  As Amos shared, we covet your prayers.
