To all,

We hope to finalize our team for January before the month is over. If you are still thinking about it, please let us know soon!

Our Two Roads Dinner is 30 days away! As we mentioned in the e-mail, we ask you to RSVP if you will be joining us. The location is Waterloo Road Baptist Church (3100 E. Waterloo Road, Edmond, OK) We have lots of cool things planned and we want it to be a real Two Roads family time!

We still have 13 children on the website that have been waiting for a sponsor (and more waiting behind them). Here is the little boy that we featured last month. He is still available for sponsorship.

Emmanuel, age seven, waiting for a sponsorEmmanuel is seven years old and the first child out of three. He is in primary two and he hopes to be a mechanic one day. Emmanuel enjoys playing soccer and he loves the color red.

Emmanuel lost his father at the end of last year due to a heart disease he had had for a while but he could not afford advanced care to help him treat it. He had sold off all his property to afford some of the necessary medication.

Emmanuel now lives with his mother plus his two little siblings and she is the one carrying the whole burden of taking care of them. His mother sells fruits around town and the income is not sufficient to meet her children’s needs.

Coming alongside this little orphaned boy will be restoring hope for his tomorrow.

AmosHere’s an update from Amos:

September was a month of meaningful ministry engagement and continued support for the students and parents. During the month, Two Roads Foundation participated in activities aimed at strengthening the relationship between parents and the students, encouraging students spiritually and academically, recognizing positive progress, and providing essential scholastic materials.

These activities reflected Two Roads Foundation’s commitment to supporting the holistic development of students by addressing their spiritual, academic, emotional, and practical needs.

Parents, students and staff at the Joint Parents' Meeting1. Joint Parents’ Meeting

Two Roads Foundation organized the Joint Parents’ Meeting, which brought together parents, students, and staff. The meeting provided an important opportunity to strengthen communication and cooperation between families, and Two Roads Foundation.

The success of students depends greatly on the combined efforts of parents, staff, and students. The meeting therefore served as a platform for discussing the progress of the students, encouraging parental involvement, and reinforcing the shared responsibility of guiding young people toward a meaningful and responsible future.

The meeting also helped create an environment in which parents could better understand the importance of supporting their children’s education, discipline, spiritual development, and personal growth.

During the meeting, Julie shared an encouraging message titled “Relying on God as a Pathway to Living a Purposeful Life.”

The message reminded the parents and students that a purposeful life is built on more than academic achievement, personal ability, or material success. While education and hard work remain important, individuals also need God’s guidance, wisdom, strength, and direction in order to make responsible decisions and live meaningful lives.

The message emphasized that:

  • God is the source of wisdom and direction.
  • Relying on God helps individuals face challenges with courage and hope.
  • A purposeful life requires faith, discipline, humility, and perseverance.
  • Students should not give up when they face academic or personal difficulties.
  • Parents and teachers have an important responsibility to guide children in both character and education.
  • True success includes becoming responsible, disciplined, compassionate, and useful members of society.

3. Recognition of the Most Improved Students

As part of the Joint Parents’ Meeting, we recognized students who had demonstrated the most improvement during the term.

This recognition was an important way of celebrating effort and progress. It communicated to the students that improvement is valued and that success is not limited to being among the top academic performers. Students who work hard to improve their grades, behaviour, attendance, participation, and general commitment also deserve encouragement.

Recognizing the most improved students was especially significant because it gave hope to learners who may have previously struggled. It demonstrated that students can make progress when they are committed, supported, and encouraged.

Two Roads Foundation appreciates this initiative because it aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to encouraging students not only to achieve academically but also to develop discipline, responsibility, and resilience.

4. Distribution of Scholastic Materials

Students holding the scholastic materials they received

During September, scholastic materials were distributed to the students. Rosette led this activity and carried it out with grace, efficiency, and swiftness.

Her organization and commitment contributed significantly to the smooth running of the distribution exercise. She ensured that the activity was conducted in an orderly manner and that the available items reached the intended students.

Scholastic materials such as books and pens are essential to effective learning. Students require these materials to take notes, complete assignments, revise their work, and participate fully in classroom activities. Providing these items therefore helps remove some of the practical barriers that may affect students’ education.

Boarding students in the picture below received all the supplies needed to board (mattress, case, blanket, and other essentials).

Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
