GOD ANSWERS PRAYER

  • We received enough funds to make it to the end of 2024!
  • We have a new board member, Todd Lamb, President of UCO
  • We have five new sponsored children
  • FBC of Weatherford will be adding regular monthly support for us in their budget for 2025
  • We received our NGO status in Uganda for three years! Praise the Lord.

Thank you all for your prayers for these requests and for your giving.  Please pray with us for October. The kids are back in school.

September was full with the kids home for school break. Here are some highlights on what the Lord has done.

  • Parents-Child Meeting, done regularly, where they reflected on those core values that make us who we are. Amos reminded them how our vision at Two Roads is to glorify God through transformed lives; that they have a role to represent God in this way in their daily lives, whether at home or school or the workplace. He reminded them that they need to be intentional to preach the Word but most importantly to live it out. He encouraged the students to put in their best efforts because “to whom much is given, much is required”. He also encouraged the parents to be actively involved in the school life of their children.
  • The holiday program. They had the students for three weeks and their devotions were about cliques. He used Matthew 9:10-13. They explored what a clique was – an unhealthy group of friends that want to keep just those who are like them in the group; while a community is a group of imperfect people working together to live more and more in every way like Jesus. He encouraged them to be a community where ideas are easily shared and new members are welcomed. They challenged them that they have been privileged to hear about the Word of God and that they have a responsibility to create communities in their schools and homes for more people to get to hear about Jesus.
  • We want to praise God, and thank each of you, for all the provisions of resources for each of our students. All their needs were covered. Rosette and Julie did a fantastic job gathering all the items and getting all the fees paid on time.
  • Legal issues. We hired a new lawyer to handle the land case. He is a local lawyer whose experience spans 20 years of practice in this region. Pray that he will be a man of integrity and represent us well, and know Christ as Lord and Savior.

Please remember our 2 Roads family as you make plans for Christmas. Our staff has prepared a budget to provide for an end of the year family food package and the gift of a blanket. In addition, we will have a Christmas celebration with food and academic awards for the year. As the number of families has grown so has the cost of this Christmas program for our families.

Thank you for your continuing support,

Greg & Donna & all our Uganda Staff
