Greetings in the Name of Jesus,
Thank you to all of you who support God’s work in Kabale Uganda. In this newsletter we will share updates from Amos on what has happened during April and about the school break that just started.
Financial Needs: URGENT. We currently have three individuals who contribute to the staff salaries in Kabale. They supply $300 (7%) of the required $4200 needed each month. We are still paying our staff, but it comes from general fund giving or we have to “borrow” it from our building fund. Another urgent need is college scholarship funds. We have 8 new students (see the names below) ready to go to the university in the fall. A regular sponsorship amount doesn’t provide enough for college. We are seeking additional funding for this. This will require $700 per month. I was reading 1 Chronicles 29 today about when King David was asking the people to give for the building of the temple by Solomon. 1 Chron.29:9 Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the LORD. David the king also rejoiced greatly.
Please consider whether God is moving in your heart to give a free will offering to meet the needs in Kabale. We are praying for God’s moving in the hearts of His people!
Here’s what’s going on in Kabale.
-
General Parents’ Meeting
We held an evaluation meeting to review outcomes from three recent parenting sessions on parents’ role, salvation, and discipline. The evaluations assessed parents’ understanding and practical application of these teachings.
Salvation: We continue to emphasize that personal salvation underpins Godly parenting. A parent testified that accepting Christ transformed her daily life—she relinquished long-standing anger and unforgiveness and now relates more lovingly to her family. A persistent challenge remains: in Kabale many parents equate religious tradition and works with a genuine relationship with Christ. We continue to teach the gospel clearly to help parents unlearn these misconceptions.
Discipline: Julie led a session on self-discipline (Proverbs 25:28) Mama Carol reported that applying discipline eliminated excuses and established a consistent quiet time with God.
Conclusion: We reiterated that intentional, Godly parenting flows out of a cultivated personal relationship with Christ.
- Student Disciplinary Cases
Working with young men and women is sometimes “messy”. We had 2 high school boys expelled. One we have transferred to a different school to finish his senior year. He will be doing KP duty for the remainder of the year at the Junction! The other boy’s case is being decided.
Follow-up: These incidents are deeply disappointing given the investment in our students. Home visits have prioritized addressing behavioural issues and reinforcing Two Roads values. During the upcoming May holiday, we will remind students of expectations and challenge them to be lights in their schools and communities.
- University Scholarship Interviews.
We conducted interviews with university-bound students to assess career goals and determine scholarship renewals.

- Legal Update
Yes, the saga continues…following our application to proceed without Junior present (which the judge approved), Junior unexpectedly re-engaged and filed an objection to our application to amend the pleadings—specifically to make the recovery of land our principal subject of the case. The court has scheduled a ruling on this matter for June 16, 2026.
Looking Ahead — May Holiday Program. Students are now on break for three weeks. The holiday program will be intensive and holistic, including:
- Daily devotions
- Gender-specific “boy and girl” sessions
- Joint parent-student meetings
- One-on-one check-ins to assess each student’s spiritual, emotional, and academic wellbeing
Prayer Requests
- Receptive hearts and minds for this holiday teaching
- God’s continued working in the land case with court on the 16th
- Preparations for the team going to Kabale in July
- Open hearts and continued moving of the Spirit in the lives of our sponsored children and our parents
- That God will be glorified in all Two Roads does
- For financial provision for the ministry
- That God would bring the new staff we need
- One of our parent’s, Ashiim’s dad (a Muslim) for salvation
Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
Greg & Donna, Amos and Two Roads Staff.
