Here is a brief update from Amos on What God has done through the month of February

  1. Parents meeting.

We held a parent’s meeting on the 28th February about the core values of Two Roads Foundation (TRF)! These are FAITH, DISCIPLESHIP, INTERGRITY, LOVE and FAMILY. We told them how these are not just TRF values but can be and should be our values as well. After sharing each core value in depth, we opened up the session for questions and answers. One parent after another stood up and asked how they could hold these family values in high regard when it is the same families that have broken them! This discussion opened up a can of worms about how much abuse has happened. I told them that we may not have all the answers to all solve these issues but that the most important thing right now is to start new traditions with their kids and instill in them these virtues. It also illuminated to us the fact that we need to be talking about how to deal with difficult or stressful people in our families. This can also mean dealing with abusive people. This will be our discussion in the next meeting.

  1. Go back to school. This month, we successfully sent all our kids back to school on time with the required supplies they need at school. On behalf of all these kids and their families, we thank you for providing these resources sufficiently.

  2. 2024 Candidate performance and Interviews.

We had record performance from both our Primary 7 and Senior 4 candidates. We praise God for these results. Our primary seven candidates passed (with the exception of one student) with top marks or second to top marks. Our senior 4 students excelled as well. We are still waiting for the Senior 6 results which we hope will be as good as the other 2 classes. Their test  results will determine what happens after high school (university, Vo-Tech, or other pursuit) We believe that part of this improved performance has been due to the policy that gets these kids to maximize their efforts.

Our staff also  we conducted interviews with each student moving on to Senior 5 and 6.

  1. School Visits

We have done school visits this month to check on the reporting of our kids back to school and to cheer them on. We also shared about ARISING AND SHINING for God’s glory has risen up them. He has provided for them, cared for them, nurtured them and encouraged them to live out their call!

From Greg…

  1. Court The Judged failed to appear for the February land trial date. The associate judge allowed us to file some amended paperwork. We are praying we can get another court date in April.
  2. New Hire! In February we hired one of our recent college graduates, Binomugisha Jim. Jim will be the resource coordinator and mentor.  This job will include community development projects ensuring that each project reflects the love of Christ in the sense that it meets both the spiritual and physical needs of those God has brought in our lives. Jim will work with existing business start-ups and help develop new ones. He will have a wide range of jobs.  We are excited to add Jim to our great staff!

Thank you for your steadfast support and prayers.
